- You need as required of Water for cooking(I used double the rice & dal quantity).

- After that, when it gets brown put this over the boiling rice and dal, which is getting cooked. Pour a little more water if you want to add at this stage. Squeeze the lime also. Check salt and more if required. Mix again and close the cooker and cook till 2 whistles..
- After cooking turn off the gas and when the pressure cookers pressure gets released open the lid and add the roasted peanuts (or you can fry the peanuts in 1 tbsp Ghee) and pour over the khichadi..
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chilled curd,raita, pickle or your favourite accompaniments..
